The energy of Presence is about being fully present with yourself and others, goodbyes, the hot and holy, silence, stillness, compassion, prayers for safe spiritual passage.
Has a year ever brought you to your knees? Have you ever had an experience where you knew the universe was asking you to surrender? In my experience, surrender brings you to presence and presence is a humbling gift.
I have a memory of being sick with a terrible stomach bug as a child maybe I was 7 or 8, lying on the couch late at night alone. I had a fever, and when I drifted off to sleep I dreamed about the static screens on television. That happened if a channel was turned on past broadcasting hours. Do you remember that too?
I dreamed that the ground beneath me was the black and white static screen and it was moving up and down and all around. I was running on it, sweating, trying to find a place that wasn’t moving under my feet. I knew I was dreaming but I couldn’t wake up until I sat down surrendered to what was, giving myself over to presence for what was happening.
When I woke up the fever had broke.
Over the first quarter of this year, my partner’s family gave themselves over to presence. They were caregivers and witnesses to the process of the end of life. I also am watching sisters in life, and beloved clients experience difficult seasons with aging parents, and challenging seasons that call for presence.
This piece is an ode to all of them. While I was painting it I kept returning to my memory of the dream I was trapped in before I surrendered to presence.
This piece might be for you if you are experiencing or honoring the moment in time when you stop fighting the universe, you surrender and you step into fully being present for what is happening to you or around you.
The Intentions Collection is my first large-scale set of acrylic paintings. The Intentions Collection was a spark of an idea I had at the end of December 2023 on the cusp of 2024. As a Life Coach, I’m always encouraging clients to pick a word for the year, identify core values, and pick words that represent those values.
For each piece, I pick a word, then I write the word on the canvas and meditate on the word writing down on the canvas what comes up for me when I think about that word. Then I start painting, hoping to convey the energy of that word.

A NOTE ON SHIPPING: Your piece will ship within 7-10 days of Purchase and be sent through the USPS or Fedex In the case of larger pieces Shipping will be calculated upon purchase. Because of the size and delicate nature of the painting, individual care must be taken to package and ship the item. A custom estimate will be prepared based on the destination. The shipping invoice will be emailed and must be paid before the item is shipped. One can expect a large painting to ship for anywhere between $75 - $150, and a small to medium sized painting to be $50-$100. Please reach out if you have questions.
