The Farmer’s Daughter Collection

My Papa grew up on a Farm in Southern MI in a beautiful farmhouse off a dirt road where the night sky was full of stars and magic was everywhere. After college he moved to the city, yet once a farmer always a farmer. When I was little we spent summer Friday nights and weekends visiting my Papa’s family where he would often help pick tomatoes or muskmelon for the Saturday morning farmers Market. I grew up knowing where my food came from and understanding what it meant to live on a farm without ever having lived on the farm. I was often jealous of my cousins who got to raise chickens, play in the barn and take care of farm animals. These days I take immense joy in visiting the farmers market on Saturday mornings knowing that I’m supporting farmers, like my family still in MI. This Collection is a love letter to not only my family but also to the men, women, and their families who make our meals possible.
